I cannot believe the furor this statement created... I personally do not give a dam who
owns who. I was given information from what was thought to be a trusted source, and it
guess it is wrong. I really don't care. It really surprises me how easily feathers can be
ruffled on this site.

I was surprised to see the above statement so I looked into the ownership of
Cummins, Inc. which is publically traded and CMI is the stock symbol. The
largest shareholder at 10.31% is State Street Corporation. All the other
holders have less. Nowhere can I find any reference to Ford as a
shareholder. Does anyone know how Ford shows up as an owner? I see that
Ford has some of the same institutional holders but none over 13.3% . State
Street Corp has only 2.91% of Ford. So where is the tie in?
Cummins financials should reflect any such ownership but I cant find it. Can
anyone clear this up?
Richard
